Hermès has really done it now. The asking price is $1,980,034! Mamma-Mia! I can hardly wait to see what it actually sells for…there will 1000000% be a bidding war.
Well it is certainly gorgeous, this bag will be impossible to get!! That is unless you are the lucky 12 who: a) have $2million to buy it b) have enough influence to beat all the others with $2million who also want to buy it. Why? Hermes will only be making 12 of these gold and diamond handbags – four different styles and only three of each!!!
Here are some fun details about this handbag:
– Hermès hired jewellery and shoe designer Pierre Hardy to design these beauties
– It took over two years to create these bags
– The gold has been designed to look like crocodile skin
– There are over 11,00o diamonds in these handbags – 1, 600 diamonds in the handle alone.
– In order for them not to be too heavy (all that weight in gold and diamonds) it had to be made in miniature size (not big enough to hold a regular sized wallet or sunglasses, etc.)
– Due to it’s miniature size, the handle acts like a bracelet!
My Conclusion: This bag is clearly not practical, but fantastic none the less!! It is a definite must have for all those Hermès Handbag collectors out there!! The.Race.Is.On!!
