Fellow fashion lovers, this is huge news! Coach is transforming their brand’s image; heading in a new direction, embarking on a broader path. Coach is set to take on a lifestyle approach, which essentially means branching out into all kinds of fashion!
If you’ve ever been into a Coach store (and I’m willing to bet a hefty price tag that almost all of you have), you know they focus on handbags, and have mildly branched out into other accessories and outerwear. This coming year we’ll see Coach expand to include a greater inventory of shoes, jewelry, watches, outerwear than currently exists, continue with their much loved handbag collection, and (here comes the big difference) launch a men’s and women’s wear collection!
Most people, when they hear “Coach” they think of a Coach handbag, but Reed Krakoff, Coach’s executive creative director and president, said they want to move customers away from that thinking. They want to move Coach from a functional to emotional mindset; to be more focused on the lifestyle of the Coach woman or man…their style sense and how they live their lives.
Recently, so many big lifestyle labels have made their way to Canada (creating greater competition for Coach), thus making it the perfect time for Coach to re-direct their image and offer their customers something more.

I know i sound like a huge dork but I was watching coach’s CEO speak on CNN yesterday about their financial issue…. I’m quite excited about the new direction and I hope they start doing better bc it would be such a shame for such an iconic brand to fade away!
