{ Dior – SS2012 Haute Couture }
I love what Bill Gaytten did with Dior’s ss2012 Haute Couture collection – he took classic Dior silhouettes and added an interesting twist. Gaytten’s aim was to create an x-ray vision effect with the clothes; showing what’s underneath, while at the same time showing how clothing is structured (the organza that creates volume, the stitches that hold the pieces together). I love how he was able to pull this task off in a classy and elegant manner. Coming from a technical background (sewing and pattern drafting) I can really appreciate this collection.
