I actually stumbled across the Toronto jewelry label Live Beautiful (Now re-branded as Golightly) because they followed me on twitter and I was curious to see who they were. I’m so glad I did because Laura Hart and Alison Nasmith, the two co-owners, make some seriously amazing jewelry!! The jewelry’s glamorously raw look captured my attention. Not only would these pieces enhance your day-to-day chic style, but they would make great conversation starters. I bet you a pretty penny that people would tell you how much they love your jewelry and ask where you got it!
What also attracted my attention, was the fact that most of the settings in the Live Beautiful (now Golightly) jewelry collection are made of recycled materials (gold fill wire and sterling silver). Also, their double terminated quartz gems are infrequently extracted from the fields of an Amish farm in Upstate New York; only to ensure the horses ploughing the fields don’t get hurt. I do love me a company with social and environmental impact!
