Girls Getaway to Ste. Anne’s Spa

Right before the Christmas holidays I went on a girls getaway to Ste. Anne’s Spa and let me tell you, it was heavenly. For the record: I was made to spa. I do it so well. In fact, I may even go as far as to say it’s my calling. 😉 haha.

If you haven’t been to Ste. Anne’s Spa before, put it on your must do list. Call up your besties, your sisters and your mom to make a girls getaway out of it – all at once or multiple occasions, that’s up to you. Though if I can put my two sense in, if you do the latter you get more pampering out of the deal…and who can pass that up? That’s what I would do anyways.

One of the things that I loved most about Ste. Anne’s Spa compared to other spas, is that they have everything you need right there on location to make the getaway easy, relaxing and fun. They have adorable cottages within a few minutes drive from the main building, with a free shuttle to take you to and from. This, my friends, means more wine and bubbly for your girls getaway, since you don’t have to worry about driving to your accommodation. They also have a large restaurant on site so you don’t need to leave the spa to get food; you can even dine in your robes, which of course we took full advantage of.

My girls getaway was with friends (and fellow bloggers) Gaby, Jacquelyn and Kaylee , and we stayed in the most adorable cottage; which we got to enjoy all to ourselves. I wish I had pictures of it for you, but because of the time of year we went, it was dark by the time we checked in, and dark when we woke up in the morning before running away to our breakfast reservation. We did manage to snap a few photos of us in bed before going to said breakfast, so you can get a little glimpse of how beautiful the rooms in the cottage were. We each had our own room, and each one was just as pretty as the next.

You can also see a little bit of the cottage in the photos from our evening in, with dinner made for us in our cottage by our own private chef. Talk about getting pampered. We got to sip wine and chat while the chef brought our amuse bouche right to us. We then moved into the kitchen for the entrée and dessert. What an experience! We actually had a lot of food during our girls getaway, and I snapped photos of it all for you below.

Of course, it wouldn’t been a spa getaway without actually experiencing the spa; am I right for am I right? I normally go for a Swedish massage when I spa, however this time I decided to switch things up and try their hot stone massage; because it’s not something I’ve ever done before.  It was so.darn.relaxing and I highly recommend it. They have this really cute relaxation room you get to sit at while you wait for your appointment, with complementary tea and water as well as plenty of magazines to read. They have something like 36 massage rooms, which I find quite incredible.

After our treatments we went to relax in the steam room and hot tubs. Call me a spa snob (because I have honestly come to realize that I am. And no, I am not sorry about it, nor do I have shame in it), but if a spa doesn’t have outdoor hot tubs, that are made with beautiful stone, are they really a spa at all? 😉 Luckily Ste. Anne’s Spa has a few of them and I could have spend all day, and evening, there.

Based on the gorgeous building, delicious food, and relaxing spa experience; let’s just say, I didn’t want to leave!
