God Save My Shoes – a documentary…but not just any documentary…it’s a documentary on SHOES!!!! Do any of you share this excitement with me???? Silly question, I’m sure most of you do! It’s been released in most countries, but not in Canada yet, and I’m getting very impatient because I WANT TO SEE IT SO BADLY!!! Here is the synopsis from the Press Kit (found at godsavemyshoes.com):

[ “God Save My Shoes” is the first documentary film to explore the intimate relationship women have with their shoes.

To understand how shoes have come to hold such a pivotal place in pop culture, sexuality and women’s lives, God Save my Shoes turned to many of those who play a role in the global shoe phenomenon: Extreme shoe lovers, fashion historians and editors, psychologists, sex experts, shoe fetishists, and star designers Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Walter Steiger, Pierre Hardy, Bruno Frisoni, and Robert Clergerie, along with such celebrities as Fergie, Kelly Rowland and Dita Von Teese.

With its psychological, sociocultural, and erotic take—from ancient elevated soles to today’s skyscraping stilet- tos, from Marilyn Monroe to Sex & the City—God Save my Shoes brings an offbeat and captivating answer to the universally puzzling relationship between women and their shoes. ]

Did I mention HOW EXCITED I AM???? When I figure out the date of the release I will be sure to let you lovelies know!!

xo,
V.

One thing about shoes is (in general) regardless of your dress size, you can still shop in the same shoe stores like other women. I may be a size 16, but I can still walk in the same shoes as a girl in size 0….
