Kova & T – Spring Summer 2013 Collection Preview

Today’s spring 2013 collection, by Kova & T, is designed by childhood friends Dasha Zhukova and Christina Tang, who are based out of LA. In the beginning, Kova & T created denim that was more form fitting and less embellished with rhinestones than the trend at the time.  They have now expanded beyond just denim to include all other types of apparel, while still keeping true to their roots.

Comparing the Kova & T spring summer 13 collection to that of previous seasons, I’d say it is less focused on it’s usual femininity and more focused on edgy street wear – which makes sense since Dasha and Christina’s inspiration for this collection was downtown LA. They definitely nailed it there! I love how it has spunk. It has attitude. It has an “I don’t care, but damn I’m stylish” kind of feel, that will keep you wanting more!

Ever since I laid eyes on that Vine Leather Jacket (last picture), I haven’t been able to get it out of my head! I love it. It’s simply fabulous! The combination of leather and knit… oh-la-la. I want this jacket. Badly. (with an extra big capitol “B”!)
