{ Matthew Gallagher – Spring 2014 Ready To Wear Collection, source }
The spring 2014 Maison Matthew Gallagher collection is one of my favourites from Toronto Fashion Week. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend this show as I was in full-on prep-mode for my sister’s wedding a few days later. I was, however, keeping up-to-date via my fellow bloggers’ twitter and instagram feeds on my iphone. I fell in love with the collection right away.
Since then I have viewed the photos of the collection, plus the video, over and over and over. I was, and still am, enthralled. Matthew Gallagher did such a fabulous job creating a collection that transported me into the future. The near future that is spring 2014. I could imagine the summer breeze, the sand between my toes, the freshness of outdoor parties – all while wearing the most fabulous clothing.
Each piece is the epitome of modern elegance, class and timeless style. Both the colour palettes and the way the fabrics flowed on the runway were soft and effortless. I’d say Matthew Gallagher mastered simplicity at its finest!
