How fun is this redish-orange colour?? For those of you who keep track, it’s Pantone colour 17-1463 (7625C for the PLUS Series).  I’m highly looking forward to wearing all sorts of Tangerine Tango items next year (next year being SO SOON…I love that we don’t have to wait too long! But, by all means, get your tango on before 2012 if you want).

For those of you who don’t know, Pantone is basically the “big cheese” of colours…they get together and decide which colours will be “in” for each season…and basically everyone follows – all industries all over the world. From clothes, to make-up, to interior design, to electronics, to cars, to…the list goes on! Why? To make it real simple…if we didn’t have “in” colours it would be too chaotic! Manufacturers can’t produce items in EVERY colour, it’s just not possible…so this helps narrow it down. Have you ever tried to find a piece of clothing in a certain colour and NO store has it?! That’s because it wasn’t one of the seasons colours. Sorry :S Obviously there are exceptions, and some companies/designers don’t follow Pantone’s colour forecasting, but in general this is what happens (there are other colour companies out there too).

Soooo, this news was just released a few days ago (I didn’t want to interrupt our Holiday Gifts series for it), and I’m uber excited because this is a HOT colour! I would suggest the best ways to rock it in 2012 are by means of accessories…shoes, jewelry, purses, belts, etc.  I’m not saying not to wear clothes in this colour, but they will be harder to wear and accessories will give a nice pop of colour to our outfit. oh…also, how hot is a wool winter jacket in this colour?!? yeaaaaa.
