If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you’ve come to realize that mixing fashion and charity hits my heart’s sweet spot; which is why I’m SO EXCITED to give one of my amazing followers (and their guest) free tickets [which happen to be bracelets] to come with me to the launch of the Psalms x Zimele event, on March 9th at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Wooooo!!! Be the one of first to experience [and buy] fabulous jewelry made in collaboration of Psalms and Zimele to support the women of South Africa!

Oh ya, and it’s the evening before my birthday…I can’t think of a better way to celebrate πŸ˜€ SO COME JOIN ME!!Psalms X Zimele, Giving Back, Fashion for a cause

Did I mention that the tickets are bracelets, handmade by the Zimele women? πŸ˜‰ That just really excites me! The bracelet is made of string and a seed called “Job’s Tears” which represents the struggles and realities of poverty over generations that are now being overcome by these women themselves.

The evening consists of a fabulous gallery exhibition of “The Zimele Collection” by Psalms 91:1 Accessories, paired with live entertainment, sweets and drinks – plus guest speakers and of course, an opportunity to purchase the amazing jewellery. All the proceeds go towards the women of South Africia – helping them create a better future by “standing on their own too feet”. I cannot think of a better way to spend a few hours!

The above photos are of Sally Han, founder of Psalms, while working with the South African women; plus sneak peeks of the jewelry being launched as part of The Zimele Collection. I know they’re getting me excited. What about you?

As founder Sally puts it: “The Zimele Collection will showcase an incredible display of design, collaboration, and craftsmanship between Canadian and South African women in creating and marketing jewellery for self- sufficiency and sustainability.” I am excited to be part of such an amazing event that is transforming the world through fashion!
