If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you’ve come to realize that mixing fashion and charity hits my heart’s sweet spot; which is why I’m SO EXCITED to give one of my amazing followers (and their guest) free tickets [which happen to be bracelets] to come with me to the launch of the Psalms x Zimele event, on March 9th at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. Wooooo!!! Be the one of first to experience [and buy] fabulous jewelry made in collaboration of Psalms and Zimele to support the women of South Africa!
Oh ya, and it’s the evening before my birthday…I can’t think of a better way to celebrate π SO COME JOIN ME!!
Did I mention that the tickets are bracelets, handmade by the Zimele women? π That just really excites me! The bracelet is made of string and a seed called “Job’s Tears” which represents the struggles and realities of poverty over generations that are now being overcome by these women themselves.
The evening consists of a fabulous gallery exhibition of “The Zimele Collection” by Psalms 91:1 Accessories, paired with live entertainment, sweets and drinks – plus guest speakers and of course, an opportunity to purchase the amazing jewellery. All the proceeds go towards the women of South Africia – helping them create a better future by “standing on their own too feet”. I cannot think of a better way to spend a few hours!
The above photos are of Sally Han, founder of Psalms, while working with the South African women; plus sneak peeks of the jewelry being launched as part of The Zimele Collection. I know they’re getting me excited. What about you?
As founder Sally puts it: “The Zimele Collection will showcase an incredible display of design, collaboration, and craftsmanship between Canadian and South African women in creating and marketing jewellery for self- sufficiency and sustainability.” I am excited to be part of such an amazing event that is transforming the world through fashion!
I’d love you to join me! To enter the contest to win two bracelet tickets to the Psalms x Ziemle Event!
[note: I will be using random.org on March 1st to select the winner & you must check back here to claim your prize (or I won’t be able to find you!). I wish you could all win, but if you aren’t selected you can still buy tickets (here) and join me anyways! It will be so much fun! ]
