During Toronto Fashion Week I was able to go backstage between shows and check out what was going on “behind the scenes”. It was organized chaos backstage and the buzz was high! There were two to four artists working on one model at the same time – talk about team work!
Getting a backstage look before and after the Stephan Caras show was both exhilarating and inspirational! I was surrounded my a sea of talent in a variety of fields! It was so interesting to see the Maybelline make-up artists and Redken hair stylists in action! Their talent is amazing! From sketch to model, these skilled artists were able to create the look desired by the Stephan Caras designers to a tee.
Then there were the garments; designed by Stephan Caras and his son, Kyriako Caras. Oh-la-la. They were glamorous, and the detail was enough to make anyone swoon! Seeing their garments walk down the runway was one thing [a great thing!], but seeing them up close and personal was even more fantastic! There’s only so much detail you can see from the runway – but backstage I could see it all, and it was breathtaking!
