Style Post: Crop Tops and Mini Skirts

I adore the crop top trend (please note I am not referring to full belly baring tops; just one for two inches around the waist). I think it ads a playful and youthful essence to an outfit.

Normally, when I wear a crop top I pair it with either a long maxi skirt/pants, or with some sort of top that has longer sleeves. Reason being, I think it looks more elegant…and I feel a bit naked. 😉  However, on scorching hot days (it can get brutal here in Toronto!) those combinations are somewhat unbearable; thus pairing a crop top with a mini skirt becomes a fabulous idea. Shorts would look great also, but I am much more of a skirt person.
