I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun this blazer is. I bought it from BCBG while visiting my sister in Vancouver about a year ago, and I almost passed it up. Can you believe it?
I fell it love with it as soon as it caught my eye; but, because it’s such a statement piece, I knew it couldn’t be worn too often. I began to have doubts. I have no qualms with dropping doe on classic items, but really out there pieces I tend to prefer more savvy price. This jacket has proved there are flaws in my system; because a year later I am still in love with it, just as much as the day I bought it. I’m still wearing it, it’s still stylish, and I’m convinced I’ll still be wearing it years from now.
Of all the ways I’ve worn this BCBG blazer, pairing it with this pleated grey Smart Set dress is definitely one of my favourites. It takes the dress (the entire look really) from classic chic to edgy chic. Plus, the black center front banding of the jacket hits the waistline of the dress perfectly, which is oh-so-flattering.
I’d love to hear from you! Have you ever purchased something that has made you question your typical shopping habits? What was it, and why? Let me know in the comment section below!
