Glass Igloos! Let me repeat; Glass Igloos!
From the comfort of your hotel bed, you can gaze up at the Aurora Borealis (aka The Northern Lights). To say I am in awe, or excited, is a complete understatement.
If the thought of you experiencing such an extraordinary wonder is almost too much excitement to bare, then Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Finland is your answer. It’s located in Finnish Lapland, just north of the Arctic Circle; which is a bit of a journey from Central Finland, but apparently, totally worth the trek.
Last Valentine’s Day, Klay and I started making our Bucket List – things we really want to experience/do together. Traveling the world was pretty much a common theme, so we decided to be more specific.
One thing on our list is “to kiss under the Aurora Borealis”. While there are a few places to choose from, to see these gorgeous lights, we may just have to pick Finland as our destination. Because really, these glass igloos are too cool to pass up, aren’t they?!
Do you have any travel on your Bucket List? If so, where? I’d love it if you’d let me know in the comment section below!

In Finland there are other gorgeous places also to be visited:
World’s Biggest Snow Castle.
Arctic Circle in winter.
Thanks for the recommendations – I’ll definitely look into it. 🙂
