VAWK FW13 – Toronto Fashion Week

The Fall Winter 2013 VAWK Collection, titled “Nordic Fauna“, is perfect for not only fashion-forward fashionistas, but also for fashion-forward professionals! Looking for something more than a “traditional” suit to wear to work? VAWK is your brand! This Canadian luxury label mixes classic silhouettes with modern elements to create unique and covet-worthy garments. Sunny Fong, designer for VAWK, has a created a line inspired by fusing the concepts of classic hunting gear and traditions with the clean, modern lines of Scandinavian interior design.

I first saw this FW13 VAWK collection at Sunny’s studio while helping stylist Tricia Hall with model fittings for the show. The moment I saw it, I couldn’t help but gasp at the luxe fabrics, rich colours, and amazing detail. The colours of this collection are so soothing, the materials so warm, and the details so fresh. The nordic print, designed by Sunny Fong himself, left me speechless. Just looking at it, I could feel the crisp chill in the winter air; while at the same time a sense of calmness. I couldn’t imagine a more perfect print for the fall winter season.
