Vitamin A Swimwear – Fashion Show at Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto

On Tuesday I attended a really awesome fashion show at Shangri-La Hotel in Toronto. If you follow along on my daily Instagram activities you would have seen my in-the-moment photos (I still have more to post – so stay tuned).

I’ve been to many fashion shows, but this was the first time I’ve been to a fashion show where the models walked on water – well, on a runway over the water anyways. The models walked over the pool wearing VITAMIN A‘s 2015 collection and it was oh-so-luxurious; just like the hotel pool. How fitting!

VITAMIN A creative director Amahlia Steven describes the design of her 2015 line as “inspired by the idea of sporty chic – from the crisp vintage glamour of tennis and sailing to the Slim Aaron’s photos of the jet set on holiday. Fresh textures, clean stripes and architectural silhouettes meet sublime new fabrics and fits. And, as always, the collection is rooted in authentic California style – the laid back, sexy, all natural beach beauty that’s in our DNA.”

The atmosphere of the fashion show was extremely luxurious. The VITAMIN A swimwear collection gave me an extreme case of wanderlust, and the Shangri-La Hotel made me long for an oasis in the city.

After the show, we were pampered with refreshing cocktails and scrumptious hors d’oeuvres, and then given a private tour of the hotel’s Miraj Hammam Spa, along with complimentary neck, hand and foot massages. Heavenly doesn’t even begin to describe it!
